Retained by defense and plaintiff firms. Complete clinical interviews, review medical records, administer testing and complete transferable skills analyses to determine loss of earnings capacity (if appropriate) and employability as a result of an intervening event. Author of thoughtful, thorough, objective and defensible vocational opinion reports for medical and legal malpractice, personal and birth injury, wrongful death, product liability and work-related injuries or wrongful termination. I testify in court and through deposition at the local and federal levels and provide vocational testimony during Social Security disability adjudication hearings.

Develop collaborative, individualized rehabilitation plans to facilitate an injured worker's return to work. Coordinate restorative and vocational services, identify and engage other professionals to advocate for the injured worker and the employer of record. Monitor performance and provide progress reports to all parties (employer, managed care organization, BWC, the injured worker's representative, etc.). Attend and lead meetings, consult with physicians and conduct employer visits to ensure the vocational goal remains a safe and sustainable return to work.

Work closely with employers throughout Ohio to develop comprehensive Transitional Work Programs that facilitate an injured employee's return to work while recovering from an injury. Observe employees engaged in work and create functional job analyses to identify the physical and non-physical attributes necessary for an individual to safely perform the work. Conduct training sessions with employees and management to ensure the program succeeds.

Provide services designed to prepare an individual for a comprehensive job search - create/edit their resume, address how to complete applications, how to perform an online and face-to-face job search and preparation for individual and group interviews. Identify and provide job leads and follow-up with potential employers (through networking) to maximize the injured worker's options and success. Follow-up with the injured worker after securing employment to ensure that they adjust to the work without incident.
